Dominique Perrier gründete zusammen mit Roger Rizzitelli im Jahr 1977 die Gruppe Space Art. Nach drei sehr erfolgreichen Alben mit über 3 Millionen verkauften Exemplaren wurde die Gruppe 1981 aufgelöst. In Deutschland ist vor allem sein Hit „Speedway“ als Titelmelodie der Sendung „Aus Forschung und Technik“ in den 80er Jahren sehr bekannt geworden.

Dominique arbeitet seit 1973 sehr eng mit Jean Michel Jarre zusammen. Er hat auf etlichen sehr namhaften Jarre Alben musikalisch mitgewirkt. Weiterhin hat er Jean-Michel Jarre immer wieder auf seinen großen Touren und Live Events durch die ganze Welt als Mitglied seiner Band begleitet.

2012 lässt Dominique Space Art als „Tribute to Space Art“ wieder auferstehen und wird mit einem fantastischen Live Set den Electronic Circus 2012 beschließen. Er wird auf der Bühne begleitet von Michel Valy (Bassgitarre) und Alain Pype (Drums).

Afer the eponymous mythical record whose ONYX the title headlight is extracted, will follow "Trip in the Center Head", and "Plac Back" then a long silence. Tours, collaborations, film musics and the foundation of another band: Stone Age.

In 2009 SPACE ART is re-edited and some singles are released, Dominique goes back to compose. REVISED a compilation is launched in 2010 including a new track "Serenad". In 2012 Dominique is decided, a new album will be lauched: SPACE ART Tribute-Dominique Perrier Project.

Recorded at Ferber Studio in Paris, the 14 titles of this new album are original compostions, except ASTURIAS a remix arranged by Dominique Perrier. For this track several friends came to join the adventure: Laurent Faucheux (drums), Patrick Rondat (guitar), Michel Valy-faithful fellow who is also member of STONE AGE (bass). Sonorities purely "SPACE ART" with 2 texts interpreted by Janet Woollacott.

To note an exceptional participation of Jean-Michel JARRE on one of the titles of the album.

Invited for show-cases, Dominique Perrier accompanied by Michel Valy (bass) and Alain Pype (Pypeline Production)-sound designer/drums-launches out in a European Promo Tour which will be start on September in Gütersloh/Germany, then Spain, Netherlands...and will end with France for several dates.

DOMINIQUE PERRIER BIOGRAPHY

A family of musicians, a father pianist and a grandfather violoncellist, Dominique is interested in the piano as of his five years, then took courses of violoncello. Then he untertakes studies of lithography at the Estienne school, which he gives up to return to the piano.

He collaborates as arranger, with many artist such as Gilbert Bécaud, Pierre Vassiliu, the gruop Il Etait Une Fois, Nicoletta, Louis Chédid and so end...

In 1973, he meets for the very first time Jean-Michel Jarre at Ferber studio, who was lyric writer of Christophe. Thus, he discovers the first monophonic synthesizers and he decides to create his own band: Space Art aside to his fellow the drummer Roger Rizzitelli.

In 1977, success comes with the single "Onyx", resulting from the album Space Art. Two other albums will follow pretty close, in 1979 with "Trip in the Center Head", then in 1980 with "Play Back". In October 1981, he accompanies Jean-Michel Jarre for the series of concerts in China the takes part in the album "Rendez-vous", and all the following albums until "Oxygene 7-13".

He goes back on scene for the concert of Houston in 1986.

1987, he becomes arranger for the Gipsy Kings (Bamboléo) and accompanies them on stage.

1990, Dominique composes the music of "Fou du Roi", then "Adieu Blaireau" and directs commercials.

1993, he performs with Jean-Michel Jarre in Docklands, in London, then in Hong-Kong.

1994, he founds the group STONE AGE, whose music is a melting pot of traditional instruments and synthesizers. After their first eponymous album in 1995, STONE AGE is nominated to the Victoires de la Musique.

Three other albums will follow: Chronovoyageurs, in 1998, Promessa in 2002 und Totem of Armoriques in 2006. From 2007 to 2010, he is on the road again for a European tour with Jean-Michel Jarre.

Born on March 3rd, 1955 in Guémené sur Scorff (Morbihan), in a family of traditional musicians… Professional since 1976. Co-‐founder of the group “STONE AGE” with which he composes 4 albums:

ALAIN PYPE BIOGRAPHY (Drums, sound designer)

With his father drummer and sound engineer of cinema, it is quite naturally as of the age of seven that he is familiarized with the technic of recording and the music. Creates his very fist band at 14 years, ensures the drums parts and the recording with Nagra III in moniphony.

He gives up the drums ten years later to be devoted mainly to the treda of sound engineer in studio. Trade which he will exert during thirty years.
